Eric Legnini is back with an album devoted to the guitar: “Six Strings Under”!
After a trilogy dedicated to the voice (Yael Naim, Hugh Coltman, Mamani Keita and Krystle Warren …), the pianist Eric Legnini (Claude Nougaro’s accomplice, Ibrahim Maalouf, Joe Lovano…) is back with a new trio: the guitarists Rocky Gresset and Hugo Lippi as well as his contrabassist Thomas Bramerie.
The album “Six Strings Under” released on September 06, 2019 and here’s the first extract, the fantastic song “Boda Boda”.
The keyboard of Eric Legnini is full of his experiences as a leader, companion, whether with a repertoire of jazz standards or even pop music but he still keeps a clear link with the melody. The melody and the singing are both a leitmotif for Legnini, his musical DNA in other words.
The very unique songbook of the new Eric Legnini trio will give lyrical and groovy lives !
