Ce n\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs pas pass\u00e9 inaper\u00e7u au<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.auxsons.com\/breves\/le-festival-rio-loco-impulse-sa-nova-onda-a-toulouse-du-15-au-19-juin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> festival Rio Loco<\/a> <\/strong>qui a choisi l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier de mettre un coup de projecteur sur la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des sons \u00e9lectro prenant racine dans le cosmopolitisme de la capitale portugaise. Ouvertes sur l\u2019Oc\u00e9an Atlantique, diffus\u00e9es bien au-del\u00e0 des fronti\u00e8res du pays, ses musiques se nourrissent elles-m\u00eames de multiples influences et attestent d\u2019une constante \u00e9volution. Elias Dia Kimuezo est alors proclam\u00e9 \u00ab le roi de la musique angolaise \u00bb. Batida, le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre producteur lisbo\u00e8te de kuduro, reprend ainsi <em>Basooka<\/em> et <em>Pobre e Rico<\/em>, morceaux iconiques angolais, chant\u00e9s respectivement par Carlos Lamartine et Matadidi M\u00e1rio. Pour rappel, le kuduro, initialement danse des unijambistes de la guerre civile angolaise, se retrouve propuls\u00e9 sur le devant de la sc\u00e8ne internationale gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la version club des Buraka Som Sistema et leur titre <em>Wegue Wegue<\/em> (2008) - avec la voix de Pongo, la reine actuelle du kuduro - et la version rock noise de Throes + The&nbsp;Shine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baruka Som Sistema - <em>Sound of Kuduro<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<iframe title=\"Buraka Som Sistema - Sound of Kuduro\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4CkXhtw7UNk?start=72&amp;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La batida - terme qui, \u00e0 l\u2019origine, regroupe les compilations pirates qui font r\u00e9sonner le kuduro dans les taxis des musseques de Luanda - m\u00e9tiss\u00e9e et underground du label lisbo\u00e8te <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/principediscos.bandcamp.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Principe Discos<\/a><\/strong> a continu\u00e9 de placer Lisbonne sur la mappemonde des musiques \u00e9lectroniques depuis une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es. Tr\u00e8s \u00e9nergique, la batida marque en effet un point de diff\u00e9rence dans le paysage des musiques \u00e9lectroniques.<\/p>\n<p>Influenc\u00e9s par les traditionnels kuduro (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=72oQmr0ag6g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nagrelha Dos Lambas<\/a><\/strong>), semba (Yuri da Cunha), tarraxo, kizomba angolais (Matias Damasio, <span class=\"caps\">C4<\/span> Pedro), funana (Ferro Gaita; le ma\u00eetre Julinho da Concertina vit \u00e0 Lisbonne), batuque cap-verdiens, puxas s\u00e3o tom\u00e9ens (Africa Negra) et soca carib\u00e9enne mais aussi par les plus urbains baile funk br\u00e9silien, gqom sud-africain, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.auxsons.com\/focus\/dj-arafat-bandit-ou-prophete-la-legende-du-petit-nouchi-ivoirien-devenu-zeus-dafrique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coup\u00e9-d\u00e9cal\u00e9 ivoirien<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.auxsons.com\/focus\/afrobeats-mefiez-vous-du-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">afrobeat nig\u00e9rian<\/a><\/strong>, rnb, dubstep, grime, trap, acid et techno minimale, les <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span>\u2019s ne cessent de digger et de produire de nouveaux samplings \u00e0 coups de beats poly-rythmiques, de lignes de basse erratiques et de loops \u00e9pileptiques - obtenus gr\u00e2ce au logiciel, largement r\u00e9pandu, Fruity Loops. C\u2019est que le funana, le kuduro ou l\u2019\u00e9lectro dissonante r\u00e9sonnent sous la banni\u00e8re d\u2019un m\u00eame combat, celui pour la libert\u00e9 et l\u2019\u00e9mancipation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 ce titre, mentionnons Ikoqwe, projet men\u00e9 contre le n\u00e9ocolonialisme par Batida et le rappeur angolais Ikonoklasta, dont les doubles fictionnels d\u00e9barquent sur Terre apr\u00e8s un&nbsp;crash.<\/p>\n<iframe title=\"Ikoqwe : le son du troisi\u00e8me type - Tracks ARTE\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ns3Dk2xTn_0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Principe Discos, label d\u2019avant-garde cr\u00e9\u00e9, il y a douze ans, sous l\u2019impulsion de N\u00e9lson Gomes, par trois beatmakers ind\u00e9pendants: <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Nervoso, <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Firmeza et le pionnier de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Marfox - fondateur d\u00e8s 2005 du collectif <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Do Guetto - a brillamment r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 imposer sa marque hors des ghettos de Quinta do Mocho, Rinchoa, Seixal, Pend\u00e3o dont la batida est&nbsp;issue.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Marfox - <em>2685<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<iframe title=\"DJ Marfox - 2685\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wqGWgo6344g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dans leur sillon, Nigga Fox (lou\u00e9e par Aphex Twin), <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Lycox, Nidia Minaj, Lilocox, <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Maboku, Blacksea N\u00e3o Maya\u2026ont su s\u2019autoorganiser et se rassembler en collectifs de producteurs. Gr\u00e2ce, d\u00e8s 2012, \u00e0 leur mensuelle Noite Principe au MusicBox (club phare dans le quartier central Cais do Sodr\u00e9) mais ensuite, et surtout, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur m\u00e9diatisation internationale (Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, New York Times), leur pr\u00e9sence accrue dans les charts du Japon \u00e0 l\u2019Australie et l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat port\u00e9 par des majors (Warner) ou labels embl\u00e9matiques (compilations Cargaa des Anglais de Warp Records), les <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span>\u2019s de Principe sont parvenus \u00e0 d\u00e9senclaver les musiques des immigr\u00e9s de S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9-et-Principe, du Cap-Vert, d\u2019Angola, de Guin\u00e9e Bissau, du Mozambique\u2026les transf\u00e9rer des rues et des bairros sociais (larges ensembles de logements sociaux) des banlieues isol\u00e9es de Lisbonne aux clubs du centreville et du monde entier. M\u00eame si la batida se diffuse \u00e0 la radio, sur internet, dans les assados, f\u00eates, bars-concerts et festivals (Sonar Lisboa), c\u2019est, d\u00e9sormais, au sein des dancefloors lisbo\u00e8tes (Lux Fragil, Titanic sur Mer, B.Leza, Z\u00e9 Dos Bois) qu\u2019elle fait r\u00e9sonner haut et fort ses beats percussifs, hypnotiques, et fait exulter les corps. Principe Discos a, ensuite, vu na\u00eetre de nombreux labels tels que le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Enchufada fond\u00e9 par Branko des Buraka Som Sistema (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kwcik3OD07A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Branko <span class=\"amp\">&amp;<\/span> Pedro<\/a><\/strong>) ou Torcida Records Club du producteur Bandicut.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lilocox - <em>Tribute of House Festival<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<iframe title=\"LILOCOX   'TRIBUTE OF HOUSE FESTIVAL' (ALTICE ARENA,LISBON)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0Kq1PQhJeGI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h3><span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span>\u2019s: foss\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rationnel ou combat de classe&nbsp;?<\/h3>\n<p>Symbole de la place occup\u00e9e par les diasporas africaines lusophones \u00e0 Lisbonne, la transe version batida - ou zouk bass - a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019un tel engouement qu\u2019elle en est presque venue \u00e0 \u00e9clipser le reste de la production musicale de la ville. Par ailleurs, Paula Nascimento, programmatrice de l\u2019Africa Festival, fait remarquer qu\u2019\u00ab<em>au Portugal, jusqu\u2019en 2010, la musique africaine, nomm\u00e9e ainsi, d\u00e9signait uniquement les musiques des <span class=\"caps\">PALOP<\/span>, celles des cinq pays colonis\u00e9s par le Portugal.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Angola est de loin d\u00e9sign\u00e9 comme l\u2019influence majeure de l\u2019afro-\u00e9lectro portugaise mais d\u2019autres pays se distinguent \u00e9galement par la qualit\u00e9 de leurs jeunes <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span>\u2019s comme la Guin\u00e9e-Bissau avec Radio Cacheu ou <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Buruntuma qui vivent \u00e0 Lisbonne. Le credo est le m\u00eame pour tous: rendre hommage \u00e0 des musiques dont l\u2019essence n\u2019est pas portugaise mais dont les apports, issus d\u2019une histoire coloniale douloureuse, sont aujourd\u2019hui sublim\u00e9s par des \u00e9nergies fi\u00e9vreuses. Je cite la <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Rita Maia : \u00ab <em>Lisbonne est l\u2019\u00e9picentre de personnes venant d\u2019endroits diff\u00e9rents, une combinaison unique que l\u2019on ne trouve nulle part ailleurs dans le monde.<\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Les places sont ch\u00e8res et les rivalit\u00e9s ont lieu entre esth\u00e9tiques, principalement entre la tr\u00e8s pl\u00e9biscit\u00e9e sc\u00e8ne \u00ab batida \u00bb des afrodescendants et celle house\/techno aux couleurs plus proches de New York que de l\u2019Angola, moins connue \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger mais consacr\u00e9e par le festival Neopop et comptant dans ses rangs Vanessa Kokeshi, Guilherme Tom\u00e9 Ribeiro, Diana Oliveira, <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Magazino et ses tr\u00e8s pris\u00e9es Bloop parties - f\u00eates itin\u00e9rantes dans des lieux insolites de Lisbonne - ou Rui Da Silva et <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Vibe (projet Underground Sound of Lisbon).<\/p>\n<p>En outre, depuis la cr\u00e9ation de Principe Discos, plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span>\u2019s se sont succ\u00e9d\u00e9es et les univers dans lesquels gravitent les uns et les autres diff\u00e8rent aujourd\u2019hui sensiblement.<\/p>\n<p>Entre l\u2019ic\u00f4ne Branko et les <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span>\u2019s alternatifs qui habitent toujours dans les quartiers d\u00e9favoris\u00e9s de Lisbonne - \u00e0 l\u2019instar de Wilson Vilares du label Celeste Mariposa - le foss\u00e9 se creuse, les parcours divergent et la convergence des marges prend davantage le tour d\u2019un mirage au profit d\u2019une guerre de clans. La signature de nouveaux artistes prometteurs - \u00e0 l\u2019instar du buzz de Dotorado Pro - est en effet devenue un enjeu \u00e9conomique crucial qui met en concurrence les deux principaux labels portugais d\u2019afro-\u00e9lectro: Principe Discos et Enchufada qui op\u00e8rent de v\u00e9ritables chasses gard\u00e9es sur les soir\u00e9es lisbo\u00e8tes.<\/p>\n<div id=\"player\">\n<div id=\"player-container-outer\">\n<div id=\"player-container-inner\">\n<div id=\"player-container\" role=\"complementary\">\n<div id=\"container\">\n<div id=\"movie_player\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-version=\"\/s\/player\/36754c51\/player_ias.vflset\/fr_FR\/base.js\" aria-label=\"Lecteur vid\u00e9o YouTube\">\n<div data-layer=\"9\">\n<div>\n<div><strong>Dotorado Pro - <em>African Scream<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<iframe title=\"Dotorado Pro - African Scream (Marimbas) [Official Video]\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/myJvTxWhEi8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>Le <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Pedro da Linha d\u00e9finit ainsi les deux versants de la sc\u00e8ne \u00e9lectro lisbo\u00e8te: \u00ab <em>d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9 <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Tell You, le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.auxsons.com\/focus\/tout-le-monde-senflamme-pour-burna-boy-et-son-melange-dinfluences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burna Boy<\/a><\/strong> du Portugal, les super stars Branko <span class=\"amp\">&amp;<\/span> Dino D\u2019Santiago - aux Grammy Awards - devenues mainstream, pr\u00e9sentes sur Spotify ; de l\u2019autre, les musiques alternatives plus populaires aupr\u00e8s de la nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration : l\u2019afro-techno du tr\u00e8s jeune <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> Adamm ou encore le brega-funk de la Br\u00e9silienne King Kami, la plus grande <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span> femme au Portugal, qui mixe des enregistrements de Harry Belafonte avec de l\u2019\u00e9lectro.<\/em> \u00bb Lisbonne se distingue \u00e9galement par la vivacit\u00e9 de sa sc\u00e8ne \u00e9lectro queer comme en atteste la programmation de Violet aux Transmusicales en&nbsp;2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Paysages \u00e9lectroniques chamaniques<\/h3>\n<p>Les projets cr\u00e9atifs \u00e0 tessiture \u00e9lectronique ne font pas office d\u2019exceptions au Portugal, ils deviennent m\u00eame la norme ; \u00e0 titre d\u2019exemple: Jonathan Uliel Saldanha qui croise vid\u00e9o, art performatif et musique exp\u00e9rimentale. Lors d\u2019une r\u00e9sidence \u00e0 Kampala organis\u00e9e par le Nyege Nyege festival, il cr\u00e9e <span class=\"caps\">HHY<\/span> and The Kampala Unit et associe \u00e0 ses machines deux artistes ougandais: la trompettiste Florence Lugemwa et le percussionniste Omutaba. R\u00e9sultat: une transe \u00e9lectro-dub enflamm\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<div id=\"title\">\n<p><strong><span class=\"caps\">HHY<\/span> and the Kampala Unit \u00b7 Live from Uganda<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<iframe title=\"HHY and the Kampala Unit \u00b7 Live from Uganda\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u8BsPIQRMMo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Si les musiques afro-bass des diasporas afro-lusophones font d\u00e9finitivement partie du son de Lisbonne, ce dernier ne s\u2019y cantonne pas. Pour Marcos Esteves, \u00ab <em>le label Principe Discos a vraiment cartonn\u00e9 \u00e0 Lisbonne lorsque c\u2019\u00e9tait nouveau, il y a une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es. Maintenant, les soir\u00e9es batida sont moins fr\u00e9quentes, il n\u2019y en a plus tous les week-ends. Cette sc\u00e8ne a cr\u00e9\u00e9 un certain d\u00e9senchantement parmi le public lisbo\u00e8te; de plus en plus techno, elle est devenue un truc de battle entre labels tr\u00e8s sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s.<\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>En parall\u00e8le, depuis environ cinq ans, une sc\u00e8ne \u00e9lectro downtempo tribale se d\u00e9veloppe appuy\u00e9e par le label Ohxala Records pl\u00e9biscit\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Mykonos. Dans la m\u00eame veine que la cumbia m\u00e9lodique de l\u2019\u00e9quatorien Nicolas Cruz, des <span class=\"caps\">DJ<\/span>\u2019s comme <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QeA6XU1E044\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Magupi<\/a><\/strong>, Ja\u00e7ira, les Br\u00e9siliens Kurup et Cigarra ou Zen Baboon - programm\u00e9 par le Boom festival en 2021 - cr\u00e9ent des nappes sonores \u00e9vocatrices qui font voyager l\u2019esprit bien au-del\u00e0 du&nbsp;Tage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mama - <em>Cigarra<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<iframe title=\"6. Mama - Cigarra (Venga Venga - Seres H\u00edbridos Remixed)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sb2CKX-sk1w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, l\u2019afrofuturisme lusophone trouve son pendant dans le projet r\u00e9trofuturiste Bandua du producteur br\u00e9silien Tempura et du chanteur portugais Edgar Valente qui r\u00e9habilite l\u2019adufe (tambourin traditionnel d\u2019origine maure) et les histoires de la r\u00e9gion de Beira Baixa \u00e0 grands traits de synth\u00e9 et de machines \u00e9lectroniques.
