Une composition in\u00e9dite qui sert de pr\u00e9lude au nouvel album qui promet un beau voyage musical \u00e0 travers le reggae, dancehall, ska, punk, jusqu\u2019au R<span class=\"amp\">&amp;<\/span>B de Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans. Un projet qui mettra en vedette les talents de demain, la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019artistes qu\u2019ils soient dub ou roots reggae.<\/p>\n<p><em><span class=\"dquo\">\u00ab<\/span> Higher Education \u00bb<\/em> est \u00e0 la fois le premier single mais aussi le titre du prochain album. Un concept qui r\u00e9-affirme la foi du groupe dans l\u2019\u00e9ducation en tant que puissant outil, capable de briser les cha\u00eenes de l\u2019adversit\u00e9 et am\u00e9liorer la vie. Ce n\u2019est pas qu\u2019une chanson mais une v\u00e9ritable mission sociale ; dont la majorit\u00e9 des b\u00e9n\u00e9fices, et 100&nbsp;% des b\u00e9n\u00e9fices de Floki\u2019s Studios, reviendront \u00e0 l\u2019Alpha School of Music de Kingston, <span class=\"caps\">JA<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>En terme de paroles et de messages, Higher Education fait \u00e9cho aux th\u00e8mes de la rupture des cercles vicieux, de la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9duquer les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures et de l\u2019espoir d\u2019ouvrir des portes. Chaque phrase r\u00e9sonne de fa\u00e7on positive et exhorte les auditeurs \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir sur le pouvoir de l\u2019\u00e9ducation et construire un avenir meilleur. Le texte a \u00e9t\u00e9 co-\u00e9crit par Sarah Brindell, Nate Edgar et Nathan Sabanayagam, et quelques rajouts personnels bien s\u00fbr sign\u00e9s Ivan Neville ! Ce dernier a \u00e9galement tenu l\u2019orgue et la clavinette sur ce riddim enregistr\u00e9 au Buckjump Studio en Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans avec Paul Schoen. Les ch\u0153urs de Sarah ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9es \u00e0 Boston <span class=\"caps\">MA<\/span>, aux Chillhouse Studios avec Will Holland. Les r\u00e9sidents des Naya Rockers soutiennent largement le projet <em>Higher Education<\/em> dont les fid\u00e8les Andy Bassford \u00e0 la guitare, Nate Edgar \u00e0 la basse, Cameron Greenlee aux claviers, Alex Beram aux percussions Akete et bien s\u00fbr Nathan Sabanayagam derri\u00e8re sa batterie.<\/p>\n<p>La chanson a \u00e9t\u00e9 mix\u00e9e aux Tuff Gong Studios \u00e0 Kingston, <span class=\"caps\">JA<\/span> par Stephen Stewart, Michael \u00ab Boxy \u00bb Howell et Nathan Sabanayagam. Avec des overdubs de guitare d\u2019Earl \u00ab Chinna \u00bb Smith, reconnu comme l\u2019un des 250 plus grands guitaristes de tous les temps par le magazine Rolling Stone, \u00e9galement aux studios Tuff Gong. Et il a \u00e9t\u00e9 masteris\u00e9 par Jason \u00ab Jacko \u00bb Randall aux More Sound Recording Studios \u00e0 Syracuse, New&nbsp;York.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-color\">Ivan Neville<\/p>\n<p>Porte-drapeau de la culture musicale de la Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans, Ivan Neville (n\u00e9 en 1959) prend son don vocal aussi au s\u00e9rieux que l\u2019eau des marais qui coule dans ses veines. Du funk f\u00e9roce qu\u2019il propose avec ses camarades du Dumpstaphunk \u00e0 ses concerts tr\u00e8s m\u00e9diatis\u00e9s avec Keith Richards et Bonnie Raitt, il incarne l\u2019esprit de la Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans. La lign\u00e9e d\u2019Ivan s\u2019est illustr\u00e9e dans deux des plus influents groupes que la Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans ait produits. Son oncle Art Neville \u00e9tait tout simplement le chanteur et clavi\u00e9riste de The Meters, incarnation incontestable du funk de Nouvelle-Orl\u00e9ans, groupe parmi les plus sampl\u00e9s de tous les temps. Art a \u00e9galement fond\u00e9 The Neville Brothers avec d\u2019autres oncles d\u2019Ivan, Charles, Cyril, et son p\u00e8re, l\u2019inimitable crooner et styliste Aaron Neville. L\u2019influence de la famille Neville sur l\u2019histoire de la musique moderne est consid\u00e9rable, ayant apport\u00e9 leur contribution \u00e0 bon nombre de genres musicaux, aux rythmes de carnaval, \u00e0 la pop, la soul, le R<span class=\"amp\">&amp;<\/span>B en passant par le jazz.
